How did ConnextionPoint™ begin?

ConnextionPoint™ evolved over 17 years of selling large and complex project and consulting services to mid market and Top Fortune companies.    The unique perch of working with many organizations, all at the foothills of a significant and often politically charged change event, resulted in years of thoughtful journaling and contemplation about some of the toughest issues I witnessed over and over on the Terrain.   Participating in the intense meetings as the escalation point when project delivery was struggling or failing forced me to create a prescriptive and proactive approach to the Terrain.   Learning the Terrain quickly, establishing safety for new people who had little mutual trust to work together, getting ahead of sensitive issues that threatened progress - all of this became ConnextionPoint - a program that is a thought provoking perspective on collaborating and connecting into difficult and unpredictable environments.

They say there is nothing new under the sun.  There isn't.  I don't reveal any ideas in ConnextionPoint™ that someone else hasn't touched on in some way or another.  What is unique about ConnextionPoint™ is the assembly of the ideas - their visual / interactive presentation that unlocks thinking/behavior modes and how all these ideas hang together to help us not just walk in a do a job - but build an impact story.  

There are some uncomfortable parts of ConnextionPoint™ that force us to be completely honest with ourselves and sit squarely in the lap of humility.     We have to reach a point of self awareness and comfort to begin to let go of internal language that will only stop us in our tracks.  Everyone is broken - it's all a matter of degrees and throughout our lives at home and at work, we move through seasons that uncover and heal brokenness.  Finding an emotional equilibrium to bring to work, managing how to show feelings without becoming hostage to our emotions, and connecting with others in a trustworthy fashion isn't a trivial undertaking.  It's our engagement acumen.  Without mastering this we can become utterly lost or lose others.     

I humbly present this program to you.  In addition to experience on projects, ConnextionPoint™ grew out of my own ups and downs in my career working with companies ranging from the smallest start ups to a global $20 billion firm.   I have walked off the cliff on the Terrain more times than I would have liked - and each time -got up -dusted myself off - journaled and wrote more case studies and moved on.    Over the last two decades, this perseverance and my participation to navigate tough turns with so many hard working corporate leaders fueled my passion that ConnextionPoint™ is needed and has come to form in this new and exciting launch.



I'm not a psychologist, past trainer, counselor, or HR executive - before founding ConnextionPoint in May of 2008 I spent 17 years in complex sales and delivery oversight of some incredible and often difficult work across a large footprint of corporate industry segments and working with almost every functional area of a company.
